Everybody needs to be in Egypt once in a lifetime! Land of pyramids and pharaohnes. Excellent land also for exploration together with good friends. Alex and Martin were deinitively the best colleagues to suck the souk.

With respect to the congress, one of the most impressing presentations was the one given by Paul V. Holland of the Uni- versity of California. He reported about the “Top 10 Publications Impacting Clinical Practice of Transfusion Medicine in the Last 10 Years.” However, all 10 publications were published from North-American groups, which rises the question:

“Is there no impact from Asian, African, or European researchers on Transfusion Medicine?” Selective perception?
